The following General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of SULIV GmbH, which also organizes the «Triangle of Gravel», form an integral part of the contract between you and us.

1. Registration/Contract Conclusion

The contract is concluded upon transfer of the course fees to SULIV GmbH. From this point on, the rights and obligations arising from the contract, as well as those set forth in these GTC, become effective.

The services provided by SULIV GmbH are defined by the service description on the website and/or in the travel documents. Special requests will only be part of the contract if they are confirmed in writing and without reservation by SULIV GmbH. The services of SULIV GmbH begin at the first official meeting point according to the course program.

The participant is responsible for their own timely arrival.

2. Prices and Payment Terms

After final registration and the course fees have been credited to the SULIV GmbH account by the specified date, participants will receive a written confirmation.

The course prices for the camps can be found on the SULIV GmbH website or will be provided directly to participants in the offer via email. Unless otherwise specified in the announcement, prices are per person in Swiss francs. The prices valid at the time of booking apply.

3. Cancellation Conditions

3.1 Cancellation by the participant

In the event of cancellation by the participant up to 60 days before the camp begins, the total costs will be refunded minus a processing fee of CHF 150.- by SULIV GmbH. For later cancellations, a refund of the course fees (minus a processing fee of CHF 150.-) will only be issued if a replacement person is provided or a person from the waiting list can take their place. Otherwise, the paid costs will not be refunded.

3.2 Cancellation by SULIV GmbH

The minimum number of participants for a course is generally ten people (for bike camps, five people). If this minimum number is not reached, SULIV GmbH reserves the right to either conduct or cancel the course. In the event of cancellation, the participants will receive a full refund of the course fees paid. Any additional costs incurred by the participants due to the cancellation will not be covered by SULIV GmbH.

SULIV GmbH reserves the right to cancel camps due to poor weather conditions, government actions, force majeure, or safety reasons. In this case, the payments for services not received will be refunded, minus CHF 150.- (Partner Fairplay Rule). Already incurred expenses will be deducted. Additional costs incurred by participants due to the cancellation will not be reimbursed.

3.3 Partner Fairplay Rule

Your safety is our top priority. Therefore, we reserve the right to cancel camps on short notice due to extreme weather conditions. The Partner Fairplay Rule is intended to mitigate the financial impact of such short-notice cancellations on our partners (accommodations and restaurants).

If we must cancel an event due to extreme weather conditions, we will refund your participation costs minus CHF 150.-. If you participate in one of our trips, such as the «Triangle of Gravel» or a «SULIV Camp» at a later date, these costs will be credited to you.

4. Program Changes and Course Termination

SULIV reserves the right to amend prospectus details, service descriptions, and prices before booking.

SULIV also reserves the right to change or terminate the course at any time, particularly in cases of cancellation as per section 3.

In the event of program changes before the course begins, participants will be informed immediately. No refund will be provided for changes or termination of a course that has already begun.

SULIV GmbH also reserves the right, in the interest of the participants, to change programs or individual agreed services (e.g., accommodation, transport) if unforeseen circumstances require it.

5. Early Departure

If a participant leaves the course early, no refund will be provided for services not received. Any additional travel costs will be borne by the participant.

6. Insurance

It is the responsibility of the participants to ensure they have adequate insurance coverage for all potential risks and that this coverage is valid worldwide. It is strongly recommended that participants take out cancellation and assistance insurance.

Participants are required to check their personal theft, accident, health, and other insurance policies before attending the course. Please ensure that coverage extends to neighboring countries.

Participation in the courses is entirely at the participant’s own risk.

7. Liability

7.1 Exclusion of Liability for Minor and Moderate Negligence and Auxiliary Persons

SULIV GmbH is only liable for gross negligence and intentional misconduct. Liability for minor and moderate negligence is expressly excluded. No liability is accepted for auxiliary persons.

7.2 Exclusion of Liability for Personal Fault, Third-Party Fault, Government Orders, and Force Majeure

SULIV GmbH is not liable if the non-performance of the contract is due to:

a) Fault on the part of the participant (personal fault),

b) Unforeseeable or unavoidable failure of a third party who is not involved in providing the agreed services (third-party fault),

c) Force majeure, government orders, or an event that could not have been foreseen or prevented with due care.

7.3 No Liability for Transport Damage or Theft

SULIV GmbH is not liable for damage to bicycles or other personal items during transport by third parties (e.g., cable cars, trains, buses) or in the event of theft. Participants are required to insure their own bicycles. A luggage and bicycle insurance policy is recommended.

7.4 Participant Responsibility

Biking and trekking carry an increased risk of accidents. Participants are therefore expected to act responsibly and exercise caution. Compliance with the applicable traffic regulations is mandatory. Wearing an approved bike helmet is required on all bike tours. Additionally, SULIV GmbH is not liable for damage caused by the poor condition of the bikes, as they are heavily used and damage can occur suddenly.

8. Personal and Health Requirements

Participants are responsible for informing SULIV GmbH of any physical or mental impairments that could affect their participation.

9. Photographic Material

Photographic material taken during trips or courses by SULIV staff or other participants and submitted to SULIV GmbH may be published in any form or media. The participants agree to the use of such material without compensation.

10. Complaints

If a participant has any complaints during the course, they must report them immediately to the course leader or SULIV GmbH and request a free remedy. SULIV GmbH will endeavor to resolve any issues as soon as possible, if feasible. Legitimate claims for compensation must be submitted in writing to SULIV GmbH no later than 10 days after returning from the course.

11. Jurisdiction

Swiss law applies exclusively to the relationship between the participants and SULIV GmbH. The place of jurisdiction is Zurich.
